Objectives and Training in Psychiatry

The recommendations on postgraduate training made by the World Health Organization, the Nuffield Provincial Hospitals Trust and the Royal Medico-Psychological Association are examined in the light of modern concepts of educational objectives. In this country no well defined, specific, assessable and detailed objectives have yet been formulated for postgraduate training in psychiatry.
