Haptoglobin Types in Alzheimer's Disease and Senile Dementia

The serum haptoglobin types were studied in 60 patients with Alzheimer's Disease and senile dementia. A significantly increased HpI gene frequency was found. This was most striking in those patients with Alzheimer's Disease.
